Empire Alchemy Wax Review!

Hello again!

I'm backatcha with yet another wax vendor review! I've been really loving finding newer wax companies within the community (as I'm new-ish myself) to try out! Today, I'm reviewing Empire Alchemy Wax! Empire Alchemy is based in Southern California and offers a wide variety of wax scents, shapes, and clamshells.

What initially drew me to her site (aside from their branding and the look of their beautiful wax) was the scent called "Living Dead Girl" offered in a clam shell. I was(am) a huge White/Rob Zombie in high-school and after so, I had to pick this up! And because I can't just order ONE thing from a wax vendor, I also purchased a chunk bag of "Clever Minx". I would have ordered a bit more, but I was late to the restock. I received two samples in my order and everything was so nicely packaged! Anna, one of the owners is such a sweetheart too. She makes being apart of their FB community fun. She's also very active and inclusive on Instagram!

(Be sure to click images for maximum awesome!)

Let's check it out further!

I love the care that Anna and Chris (the owners) took in the packaging. My order arrived in an envelope that had cute stamps on the front.

Their labeling and concept is awesome, as you can tell from their website. My order was packed in a box (within the envelope) and wrapped in purple tissue paper.

Here are the products I received!

"Living Dead Girl" described as (from the EA website): "Lime, lemongrass, tonka bean and hints of caramel start off this blend (this is Lush's 25:43 dupe).  It blends with sweet wake-the-dead lavender and airy salty sea air which is a mix of crisp ozone, salty sea spray, seaweed, sea weathered driftwood and hints of lily." The clam shell is $4.25.

Not only do I adore the name of this, but the scent description is right up my alley. I love lime and I love lavender alone, but blended together with the hints of caramel and salty sea air is a fantastic combo. The more this cures, the better it gets!

Also, ummm, sparkle is LIFE and this has a beautiful over-spray of green holographic, purple, and black glitter. This seems to have been made just for me! ;)

So much glitter! I love it!

"Clever Minx" described as (from the EA website): "starts with tangy lemonade (not lemon sugar drop) that is immediately sweetened with buttercream frosted cookies. Lavender is melded into the background for a perfect combination." The chunk bag is $6.25.

This scent is so interesting and creamy. Again, as I stated above, I'm a citrus and lavender girl. I especially love them blended with something creamy and sweet. This has the PERFECT amount of lemonade and cream with the lavender hitting you very last in the background. It's gorgeous!

The two samples I received:

"Cool Cat Shave Salty Sea Air" described as (from the EA website): "Our house blend shave cream (no talc notes!) is blended with soothing sweet lavender and fresh salty sea air for just the ultimate clean blend."

I wasn't sure what to think about this wax just by the name alone. I hadn't smelled anything this far with shaving cream blended in. Apprehensive, I took a big whiff, and the first thing that hits your senses is the salty sea air and lavender. The shaving cream is a faint note in the background that immediately transported me to my childhood and being around my Dad. My Dad passed away in 2009, which made it a special experience. It's interesting what scents can do to bring back memories. I will definitely purchase the chunk bag during the restock.

"Cara Mia Apple" described as (from the EA website): "Toffee Apple Cider BBW type Cider Lane, Mac Apple, Cream Cheese Frosting"

This was a pure win for me! I love Cider Lane and anything blended with it. It screams Fall to me and Fall is my jam. This scent is amazing on cold and I can't wait to melt it after I give it a little more time to cure.

Everything together!

Empire Alchemy is having a restock on October 11th 2017, so mark your calendars! I know I am! I can't wait to try out more scents and blends from them.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
