The Gypsy Monroe Wax Co.

Hello again!

When I started on this "wax melting" journey, I had no idea what a vast and interesting community of vendors there are out there! Anyone who really knows me, knows I love glitter and sparkles, and so when I stumbled upon The Gypsy Monroe Wax Co., I was immediately drawn not only to the aesthetic of the Etsy store front and products (because sparkles!), but to the scents they offer right off the bat. I placed two (three?) orders in the span of 2 weeks, and wanted to show off what this amazing company has to offer all at once! April, the owner is adorable and sweet and I feel like this company is truly a hidden gem among wax vendors. The wax is a para-soy blend and everything is super affordable. Not to mention that the scent selections are SO good and unique!

Let's take a look.  (Be sure to click images for maximum awesome!)

Here are my two combined orders, which I will break down for you! (I tore open my packages so quickly that I forgot to take pictures of how amazing the products came wrapped. Next time!) April takes extreme pride in the presentation of her orders which is so apparent in the quality of her packaging and extra little notes and samples.

April includes a cute "Thank You" card in each package (like the one below) as well as your invoice.

I ordered a bakery bag filled with wax melts in the scents "Bonfire and Hoodies" (described as having notes of Smoldering Firewood, Roasted Marshmallows, and Smoky Vanilla Cream" and a bakery bag with wax melts in the scent "Halloweentown" (described as having notes of Caramel Apple, Funnel Cake, Cotton Candy, and Candy Corn). Truly, Halloweentown is a magical scent and hits on each thing I love about the Fall. "Bonfires and Hoodies" is an earthy, smoky, sexy scent. It has the popular scent "Bonfire Bliss" as a base note, but it evens out with the creamy vanilla and marshmallow to give it a sweeter, smoother smell. Each bakery bag came with 6.40 ounces of assorted wax melts for right around $8.00 each.

Close ups of the various melts. I love me some skulls!

I also picked up a Rose Wax melt in the scent "Lemon Curd" which is Lemon Zest and Whipped Cream. Let me tell you, without smellavision, there is no accurate way for me to describe how fresh, zesty (yet creamy), and delectable this scent is. This is one of my favorites of the bunch. Plus, look at this beautiful rose with iridescent sparkles! It's sitting right next to me as I type this and the smell through the bag is so beautiful. This gorgeous creation was only $2.95!

Next up, I ordered a bar of wax (lol) called "Trapper Keeper" which is scented with Satsuma, Cotton Candy, Pineapple,Strawberry, Whipped Cream. I'm a huge Satsuma fan and also had a trapper keeper as a kid, so win/win with this one. Yes, it's as amazingly scented as it sounds and the longer it cures, the more the notes mellow into each other creating such a wonderful citrus smell. The bar weighs 4.10 ounces and was $5.00.

Again, look at that lovely glitter. I don't think it gets much better.

On to the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" (which has notes of Pink Sugar, Cotton Candy, and Fizzy Soda) souffle cup. This is my favorite *looking* product of the bunch and my daughters favorite scent. It's heavy on the fizzy soda, so there is a pop of scent that hits you immediately, but the pink sugar comes in and steals the show, making it sweet and effervescent . The souffle cup weighs 4.00 ounces and was $5.00.

I freaking LOVE the iridescent and holographic glitter. I don't know how I'll ever bring myself to cut this one up to melt.

Here we have "Ice Cream Truck" (with notes of Frozen Peach, Strawberries, Sweet Cream, Vanilla, Caramelized Sugar + Toasted Marshmallow, Sugared Waffle Cone). Literally, they smell like the inside of an ice cream shop. It took a little cure time to be able to pick out the varying notes other than just strawberry, but now I can smell each note quite distinctively after letting cure for about 2 weeks.) There were 7 min heart melts in this bag for $1.95! (isn't that awesome?!)

Here are the samples I received with my orders. The sample of "Halloweentown" is what made me pick up the whole bakery bag of it. (It's that good.) "Saturday Morning Cartoons" is a mix of Fruit Loops and Marshmallow (again, a scent I'll need in something full sized) and "Spun Sugar Shake" is Lemon Sugar, Cotton Candy, Vanilla Milkshake, Whipped Cream. You can not tell me that those scent blends don't peak your interest just a teeny bit. ;)

The Gypsy Monroe's Etsy store is a little barren at the moment, but don't despair! This Saturday (09/30/2017), April will be restocking the store. She has some new scents and items that will be added as well. I for one can't wait to see what she comes up with. Gypsy Monroe is one of my first purchases from a wax vendor and I feel like I've stumbled upon a gold mine! You should absolutely check her out! Keep up to date with The Gypsy Monroe on Facebook HERE!

I hope you're all able to snag something amazing on Saturday!

Have a great day!
